A little bit about me--I was raised on a homestead farm between Dutton and Power, about 30 miles north of Great Falls, in Montana.
East Glacier Park has been my home since 1978, but I also spent many summers here before that, beginning in 1970, working as well as playing.
I have been an agent in real estate since April of 1985 and a broker since June of 1988. I attended Graduate Realtors Institute in 1992, 1993 & graduated in 1995. I have been a member of the Northwest Realtors Association in Kalispell since 1996. I worked as an agent with Dye, Tavary & Judge, Inc. out of Cut Bank from May of 1985 until January of 1996 at which time I opened my own company - BEAR ON THE ROOF REALTY (Please read related story on home page).I work hard and get the job done right. Working with people is one of my passions and I especially enjoy showing remote properties. I have become an expert in real estate in this area.
I went to Kinman Business University in Spokane in 1971 and received a degree in Fashion Merchandising and attended two years at the University of Montana in Missoula.
I love Montana and especially the winters. Along with real estate and being constantly amazed by my two 'young lady' daughters...my lifestyle includes X-C skiing, snow shoeing, hiking, canoeing, dancing, taking walks with my dogs, singing, yoga, learning more about the Blackfeet culture, photography, talking with people, problem-solving and basically revel in being a student of life.
I have 2 intelligent, beautiful and creative daughters, Mackenzie, 24 and Jess, 27. Kenzie just graduated from NYU in May of 2007 in musical theater. Kenzie is on tour with Missoula Children theater for a year 2008-2009 and is traveling all over the United States. They are doing The Little Mermaid and she is learning a lot about teaching. Her blog is http://mackenziesherburne.blogspot.com if you want to read about her adventures.
Jess graduated from the University of Montana in Missoula in 2005 with a Biology/French double major, attended a semester of school in France the fall of 2001, went on a biology research trip to Peru in 2005, worked at a Raptor Rehab Center at Vermont Institute of Science, Paraguay in 2007, and currently is the Community Programs Coordinator at the Montana Natural History Center in Missoula.
